Doesn't go far enough. All teams should be in the playoffs. The whole season will now be playoffs. Preseason, is playoffs. New expansion team Playoffs FC that only plays in the playoffs, which is every game.
New: MLS is planning another potential overhaul to its playoff system, one that could involve as many as 20 teams, feature a "double-elimination" component along with a mess of other changes. Nothing finalized yet.

MLS, *on purpose*, does soccer differently from the rest of the world where soccer is the most popular sport. MLS is "odd" in the same way that I suppose you could call the US healthcare system "odd".

The reason the USMNT constantly sucks is because the US's league system is disjointed, monopolistic, antagonistic, aimless, and isolating, among other things. We need a united system of independent clubs with promotion and relegation.

I have never once seen someone scolding about alt text suggest bluesky's "require alt text" feature that doesn't let you post images if you didn't add alt text. I didn't know about it and I feel like it could help a lot!
