ICYMI: The nation of Niger has become the first nation in the world to criminalise asexuality as part of a wider crackdown on the LGBTQIA+ community
Why Niger explicitly criminalising asexuality is significant to everyone, regardless of identity
To understand Nigers asexuality criminalisation, we should see this law as part of a bigger – and growing – global trend among conservatives about 'traditional families'

I should've said this earlier - My sister is out of the hospital and back home after a 15-day stay! I'm sure she's still on a lot of meds; fortunately she still has the IV pole she had before. Now she also has kitties!

This is my favourite song by Bruce Cockburn; it's 40 years old but very relevant today. Barenaked Ladies covered it; so did Dan Fogelberg and Canadian country singer Drake Jensen and a few others. Cockburn has two different versions. www.youtube.com/watch?v=xBys...

Trump tomato tariffs could spell the end of free chips, salsa at restaurants
The 17% tariff on Mexican tomato imports, combined with bad weather in Florida and Mexico, has caused the price of salsa ingredients to spike in recent months.
