I keep seeing videos of a guy who catches crabs and lobsters, cracks all the barnacles off them, puts a shrimp in their claws and throws them back. can you imagine. abducted by aliens but they just give you a spa day and hand you two hot dogs and let you go

In a huge blow to my photography career, the SD card in my toy camera corrupted yesterday morning, so I lost every photo from Dragon Con on Saturday. I hadn’t printed any for myself because I was running low on sticker paper and wanted to make sure I could keep giving them away all weekend.

Take a break from being depressed that everything you love is being destroyed by slop for a moment and let me tell you about the beautiful symbiotic relationship between graffiti writers, train yard workers, and model train enthusiasts.

After years of being too precious about them, I started a sticker book for my artist friends’ stickers. My first page is two friends marveling at a giant floating pickle.

My plein air paintings from Cornwall earlier this year.

The originals and limited edition prints are now up in my shop, along with lots of studio work inspired by the trip.

It’s a big update! I’ve been sitting on a lot of stuff to drop at once.

Artist friends: during my many-hour drive home from Gen Con, I came up with an art-gift that I'm going to work on and give to you when next we see each other at Dragon Con (might be too soon), IX, or Gen Con. This post is my public declaration of intent.

Marie is the first person I’ve ever waited in line for at a con. I’ll be in my room reading her version of Nosferatu tonight if you need me.
Never have I ever had a line for ANYTHING I’ve ever done but yesterday there was a line for my signing at GEN CON, BOOTH 2549. I got another signing today from 4:20-6 pm so…see u there?

I saw this painting leaning against a building in Manhattan in 2019. Every time I see it in my camera roll when I’m searching for “painting”, I regret not taking it.

Pueraria suffocata, known as smotherwort, is the fastest-growing species of plant. This vine of the kudzu family can, under ideal conditions, spread 10 meters per day.

People living in areas where this species is invasive are advised to close their windows at night to avoid accidental asphyxiation.

Excited to reveal this project I did for SEND HELP, directed by Sam Raimi and starring Rachel McAdams & Dylan O’Brien, now in theaters! My illustration was painted traditionally in watercolor. Many thanks to @20thcenturystudios.bsky.social and @posterposse.bsky.social for this opportunity!

I felt like making some art last night/today and could have made something beautiful and/or meaningful but I made this instead.

It's a Barbie Yaga Malibu Dream Hut.

No regrets. Can't defeat fascism without joy.
