Living in Spain. You can cancel a direct debit. But Banco Sabadell will still pay out if the SAME company tries to take money and they use a different bank account under the same name.
Ask me the 6,500 reasons I found out when the company trying to rip me off took that from my account on Friday.

As ever, watching a US adaptation of a British show is fascinating. In "Ghosts" they did a great jib of combining the first two episodes to make it flow.

So Amazon tried to deliver to their own counter. The driver said "address incomplete". Then claimed not to be able to find it. Both very silly excuses when they deliver there daily.
Turns out the shop was closed for siesta and the driver just lied.

This is cruel and unusual punishment. Literal abuse of an old man. Ok, he was pretty evil, but he doesn't deserve this.
Mitch McConnell had to be told to vote AND how to vote. It is the ONLY reason they dragged in a man on his deathbed. The level of dishonesty by the Republican Party is off the charts.
