I did some baking. Raspberry turnovers. Homemade filling made with homegrown raspberries. One of these days I’ll make my own puff pastry.

Everwind, owned by Trent Vichie, whom Tim Houston regularly and secretly meets with in NY. We need a full investigation into Houston, who was named in the Paradise Papers for his former role as a Bermuda-based accountant for tax-dodging Epstein-class clientele, like Trent Vichie.

Update: Both Joan Baxter and Jennifer Henderson were escorted out of the EverWind press conference by security. Both are older women who present no physical threat to anyone. Both behave as reporters do. But we (the Halifax Examiner) write critically about EverWind.
time for the drunkard drug addict Tim Houston to put this insanity to a vote, call an election immediately. The fucking coward and his Nazi NSPC party are fucking done

Trump said no tariffs on potash. Was he lying again?
The tariff wars are raising costs in the United States on everything from steel and lumber to wine bottles to the potash farmers need for their fertilizer.

Not happy about Canadians boycotting US wines. So his first stop is a province without a boycott. No one said Americans were smart.
My first stop was Alberta, the only province not boycotting Californian wines.

I spoke to provincial leaders about the importance of the Canadian market to California farmers and the importance of continuing close collaboration on dairy, beef and energy trade.

Stuff like this is why the Canadian political establishment is (correctly, IMO) assuming that Democrats can NOT be trusted to return the bilateral relationship to the status quo ante going forward.

My personal best first-hand example of how private equity ruins everything:

In 2006, I could fly to Savannah, GA and park at Signature Aviation for $5/night.

Last year, that same parking cost $70/night, a 14x increase.

What happened in the interim? Signature was bought by private equity.

Fun fact: it costs $270 out of pocket to get a maternal RSV vaccine in BC.

This despite UBC study in The Lancet finding that newborns under 6 months made up 45% of all RSV hospitalizations in Canada from 2017-2020.
And RSV hospitalizations doubled post-pandemic.
