Personally I would not pick this fight with the youtube guy who demonstrates all the ways he can nail you with an arrow at 200 yards using his feet while wearing 12-inch Pleasers, whose wife can also kill you with her bare hands, and has 9 billionteen followers who are all trans women with swords.

I find the most interesting thing here is that at no point does this post ask for advice, and yet the replies are full of it!
I've been checking the source of quotes for my forthcoming book, and the performance of Gemini is extraordinary. I paste the quote into Google, and Gemini will barge in with the wrong answer over and over again. It's not an occasional thing - it's reliably wrong. Very odd.

the only threats "AI" poses to society are when people put it in charge of things that require thought, or crash the economy over it, or destroy the environment to power it. but it's people doing all of those things. AI poses zero threat by itself as it cannot do anything due to not existing

And when they act like this, it's also always worth thinking about how they treat actual disabled and mentally ill people anyway. That alleged kindness and politeness is very, very contingent.
I think a lot of liberals and democrats have such an alienated view of trans folks that they see us as “really” our assigned gender, and think that they’re humoring or being polite to disabled or mentally ill folks when they use our pronouns or our names.

You know, when you find out that the art you like is made by people you've learned hold views you find wholly repugnant, I don't think you need to disavow ever having enjoyed the art. It's okay to acknowledge you liked or loved that art, but are now putting it aside. That was then, this is now.

The irony being, of course, that this was considered an unusual behavioural trait at the time because dinosaurs were being compared to modern reptiles, which rarely brood eggs, where in fact they're much more closely related to modern birds, which (usually) actively raise their young.
I was wondering why the maiasaura in one of our dinosaur books has a feminine ending when all the other dinosaurs are masculine and it's literally because they found out the species took care of its young so I guess it must have been a woman??
![Discovered in 1978 during the dinosaur renaissance, the species description of Maiasaura first came in 1979 from paleontologists Jack Horner and Bob Makela following the discovery of a site located South of Choteau, Montana. They named the new genus and species Maiasaura peeblesorum, with the genus name Maiasaura, ("good mother lizard") referring to Makela and Horner's conclusion that this species took care of their offspring.
