this is not at ALL in argument with op btw, just a yes and: the reason it works is bc we've decided that
- mentally ill people are write-off-able as deserving of care or respect
- mental illness means EVERYTHING you say is a lie/false

If a man calls a woman “crazy” please know that it’s actually code for “she is reasonably upset by the compounded experiences of injustice that her mere existence has subjected her to and I don’t want to acknowledge it or I fear I will realize I’ve benefited from the culture of it.” Hope that helps!

This is the clearest possible example of how trans exclusion harms women's rights. This conference hosted important discussions about a whole range of critical issues, but its decisions were devalued by the fact that the party capitulated to the threat of lawfare. Transphobia harms all women.
