Monstrous.
The goal in detaining these children, a former official says, is “to make sure no one ever sends their kids to the US again.”

Read @samanthamichaels.bsky.social + @isabelaalhadeff.bsky.social report on the administration's new family separation policy that targets children in the nation's interior.
“You kidnapped my son”
ICE is now separating children from their parents and deeming them “unaccompanied.”

And it is also a dramatic misunderstanding of OCD, which tends to cause behaviors that link two concepts with no causality together (if I don’t check my locks 8 times my dog will die)not maintaining habits that *do* have a causal effect (if I wear a mask regularly I will be less likely to get covid)

Pathologizing any behavior you have no context for is sinister and should be seen for what it is: pointing targets out for the right wing while you hide behind a rock.

brief reminder because a TikTok video of an asshole is going around, disabled people trying to avoid illnesses that could make them more disabled is not OCD, it is lived experience with a disability that you do not have, and thus should have your stupid mouth closed and stupid ears open about.

Bay Area tech people famously live in a temperate climate where very rare snow shuts most of the city down. Waymos are such a STUPID idea in MN, land of snow & ice & sleet. When someone is inevitably killed in a Waymo accident, whom can the family seek recompense from? Let's ban them outright in MN!
Requiring a driver in a driverless car doesn’t make sense.

Minneapolis is open for business, open to innovative technology, and open to a variety of transportation options.

Thoughtful regulation for safety is necessary, but not through a backdoor ban.

Pet insurance is not a great option for artists because it's one more monthly cost, and often it won't cover pre-existing conditions even if your pet is young.

I just pay out of pocket. If you want to help, I have a Ko-Fi for donations (or just tell people to buy my books).

Yup. I've had to recontextualize things I brushed off as a teen, but none it it was OK. Especially the youth pastor @ church feeling me up at an overnight youth group event. I was 14; he was 25. 🤮

That's just the first example that comes to mind right now. There are so many others, unfortunately.
If you're reading this, you're reading the skeet of a 47yo woman who experienced 1. gross sexual attention from men starting around age ten 2. multiple sexual harassment situations before I was twenty five 3. sexual assault. Every single AFAB person I know has experienced similar or worse.

I really appreciate everyone’s passion over city politics, but Frey being removed or resigning over disagreement regarding the management of MPD is a theory that simply is not grounded in reality. (This is, for some reason, a theory that I have seen floating around.)
