I'm really asking streamers and content creators to not buy followers and viewers. It doesn't help you, it won't help you, and when marketing goes to dig into your numbers, they're going to notice strange patterns.
Maybe you can fool people for a bit but it'll come to light in the end.
Just don't.

I think it's sad to celebrate hitting a follower goal when it's clear that you bought hundreds of followers.
Gaining massive number of followers while offline is such a red flag to PR and marketers. We'll dive in and go look at stats. If something's fishy, we're not touching that.
Do better.

Couldn't agree more. Making stars for every player mandatory creates a subtle pressure for everyone to HAVE to say something good, even if they don't have something good to say and that doesn't actually help anyone and potentially harms the table experience.
Mandatory stars for everyone at the table risk eroding trust.
Hit me with your nuanced ttrpg take.

Storytelling is ancient, and there are so many storytelling traditions that we can use techniques from to be better players and performers. Improv and theatre are not the end all be all for ttrpg storytelling.

I don’t normally do this:
If you’re an archivist or metadata sicko who is doing working to preserve/collect/organize TTRPG materials and/or Actual Play & you’ll be at PAXU, let me know.
If there’s already something brewing I don’t need to be involved unless it’s useful.
But it needs to be there.

Yo. This is the union calling for a boycott. Here in America people like to say "Well I was already boycotting Starbucks!" No you were not. You were just choosing not to buy their stuff. That is not a boycott. A boycott is an organized, collective activity. "I" don't boycott: we do.
We have power in numbers, and we'll continue to fight for a better Starbucks.
Support us by BOYCOTTING STARBUCKS until the company finalizes fair union contracts with workers!

Dear artists,
You NEED to keep in contact with your commissioners. That's right, all of them. If they paid you money, you MUST communicate with them and tell them what's going on. You cannot just ghost someone for months and months after promising a quick turnaround and expect them to be happy!
