I am pleased to report that SPQR Developers' 7th app is now live at the App Store. PraxisVault tracks CME and credentials for #doctors. I developed it after I was asked for the millionth time, "When does my ___ expire?" by my doctor-wife.

It finally rained yesterday and into today, a total of 2.2" (55.8mm) - the most rain we've had here since mid-summer. Runoff was minimal: the land simply absorbed the moisture. Still it got the connecting creek between my two ponds flowing again. Before/After. It had never dried out in 17 yrs here.

The pic of PSA Flight 182 on fire above San Diego in 1978 is etched in my brain. At that time my sister was a TWA stewardess: Every disaster was big news in my family. I also know a USN corpsman who picked up the bodies of that disaster. Classic Swiss-cheese disaster.

Just a note that I updated GrowZone, a freemium app at the that allows you to track what you plant, and makes suggestions from over 500 plants - each with care guide - to fit your USDA zone. With the fix, it's now the "perfect app" according to a customer. #Gardening

The first #monarch of the season has been spotted on my property. Likely a generation 3 from the Ohio Valley, this #insect heralds the creation of the Gen 4s, that will munch through the delicious milkweed I tend throughout the year to feed them. Lots of energy for their long migration to Mexico.

We have raised a #coffee tree from a twig for over 5 years. It is now 4ft tall. Recently its leaves drooped but didn't drop - a sign of root rot. A I unpotted it and found no rot. Instead the soil was compacted. I broke it up, repotted and gave it a good soak. Much better today. #Gardening

I am fighting an invasive species on our property, Sericea lespedeza. It blooms in July/August, so June is the month when I have to spray herbicide on it. Last year I used an ATV sprayer - which left tracks visible from space. So I'm walking with the backpack sprayer.
It is heavy, and I am old.

I had to dig up 3 #roses today because of the disease shown below. Known as "Witches Broom," Rose Rosette Disease (RRD) is a fatal viral infection spread by microscopic mites. I absolutely hate killing plants, and these roses once smelled so sweet. Proof again that #Gardening is not for the weak.
