This is... troubling. SCOTUS is allowing the Trump administration to use an error-ridden tool that relies on inaccurate data. This tool has already led to false allegations of non-citizen voting. Now, it could "accidentally" remove legal voters from the rolls, causing real disenfranchisement.

At least two of the Broadview 6 plan to return to the facility to protest this weekend.
On Friday, 9/26/2025, I went out to the ICE Detention Facility in Broadview for the first time. I was hit by a car, shot with baton rounds, tear gassed, and prosecuted for speaking out.

Yesterday marked a year since I got thrown to the pavement at Broadview. Next week will be a year since a car hit us, leading to the indictment of myself and five others. So little has changed.

This is a better answer on sports from Talarico. It's not my position or answer, but at least he says he opposes statewide bans on trans athletes.
I still really, really don't like his position that he wants a national surgery ban for trans youth.

Increased police-ICE connection fits neatly within the general stance many Americans have which, as I've said many times, boils down to "deport the bad ones and let the good ones stay."

Every time I return to Paris, I notice they've done more to reclaim streets from drivers and cars, including removing on-street parking, protecting cyclists from drivers, and prioritizing pedestrians and cyclists in shared spaces. Other cities can learn a lot from Paris.
