I made this image out of a 3D printed figure I painted up, and ran through my camera + Photoshop process.

I recently realized that, during this year, my age works out that I've lived exactly as many years before the Millennium as afterwards. Exactly half my life ago was Y2K. I feel there should be a term for that.

@jesszafarris.com Might I ask you an entomology question?
So the word emcee apparently came from spelling out the abbreviation MC, which came from the phrase Master of Ceremonies. (Deejay has a similar journey). Is there a entomological term for this progression of phrase->initialism->word?

Beating the heat with art.
Spent parts of the weekend, beating the heat wave, by assembling, painting and photographing an AT-AT model.
This is the photography part.

Apparently the Eagles have the best sell US album of all time in the US. At 40m copies sold it beats the second best by 6m units. It is a Greatest Hits album, which explains why Gandalf did not have the Eagles bring the Ring of Power to Mordor... They were too busy recording music to go on tour.

Also the behind-the-scenes diorama that makes the core of this image, all made in my studio with 3D prints and foam.

Canes fans chanting the same Ole Ole Ole chant the Habs fans use, which they never use otherwise, while the Canes are actively in the process of crushing the Habs, is a level of crowd snark I can get behind.

Bluesky Discover feed is whacked. It shows me the things I am interested in, but it also randomly decides to show me dozens of a single topic I've never seen before or expressed interest in.
Today is hens, then weather info from east Asia. At least it stoped showing me dick sculptures.

Age verification? My first real job involved 8" floppy disks.
Age verification? My first 2-wheel bike was an Evel Knievel bike (and yes, I was an 8 year-old badass on it)
