This summer, we kept the lights on all night, every night, at five soccer fields across New York City.
This was the scene at Calvert Vaux Park in Gravesend, Brooklyn Tuesday night.

I used to think incarcerated people should not be able to vote because the idea of rapists dictating the law was abhorrent.
Silly young me had NO idea what was coming on that front.

If basic human rights are predicated on whether someone committed crimes (see the "except as punishment for a crime" clause in the Thirteenth Amendment), then you create perverse incentives for those in power to create as many "criminals" out of the opposition as possible.

random lore drop 🚨 I was 18 and got my eyebrow ring ripped out in a dropkick murphys moshpit. It was 2000 so of course my hair was also pink and I had a terrible lower back that lol. after the show I was a bloody mess and their bagpipes player handed me a shot & a T-shirt so I can't hate them ever.
