Probably Half-Life 2. Not by any means the first game I played, but probably the first I ever beat and made me realize games can have cool stories. I even wrote a glowing review of it on a game forum as like a 9 or 10-year-old.

My newest gaming obsession is ship/sailing sims. I've been looking at four different games all with their own kinks/strengths (none of them are incredibly polished lol), undecided which one to try first. I might end up trying all of them eventually... Definitely expect an essay about this eventually

One aspect of the discussion about GTA VI (and other popular media) that I find quite annoying is just how many people feel it necessary to loudly tell everyone just how little they care about the thing. Alright, you want a medal for that?

Ungodly long love-hate-relationship with Spotify over, I finally cancelled it. YouTube Premium raised its price again, and as its a sub that I can't imagine getting rid of, I figured I would just use all its benefits and move over to YT Music. Even got my playlists ported over.

I don’t know how to use chatgpt etc but I imagine it’s going to a website and typing “oh no what groceries do I buy please tell me false god for I am so weak I cannot go on” as your brain atrophies and leaks out of your ears from disuse and the machine is like “buy eggs milk bread and a horse”

Weird time to be upgrading one's PC but today I'm finally getting a new rig after having my old one for over 9 years. Kind of felt like a "now or never' moment with the constant price increases, as it's likely that just in a few months it would be financially unfeasible for me.

The main way in which AI has negatively impacted games industry jobs is not through actual automation of those jobs or even untrue claims about automation. It's by making capital unavailable because it's tied up in AI investments while also destroying the consumer base for video game hardware.

You can’t own anything physical anymore, everything is digital, you can’t own anything digital now, storage is too expensive, you cant stream anything because they took it off the service once their parent company got bought out, you can’t get a McFlurry because the machine is broken

PlayStation is ending production of physical discs for new games in January 2028. After this date, new games released on PlayStation will only be available in digital formats. buff.ly/LCejL0r

HotD s3ep1 was a really cool season opener that definitely felt like it should have been the penultimate or finale episode of season 2. Great mix of some intimate character moments with large scale spectacle. Also just really glad to see @theabigailthorn.bsky.social get to do cool stuff as Lohar!
