20 year old me would probably be shocked at the fact that I haven’t taken my life, what career path I’m on as my day job, that I have a cat, that I’m not cis or straight, and probably a number of other things.
My younger self had severe issues and is hard to please but they’re probably impressed.

LRT: Unfriendly reminder that the pandemic never ended, covid fucks you up in more ways than you realize, summer colds and summer flus weren’t a thing before 2020, and to wear a N95/KN95 wherever possible.

This right here. The number of people I saw this year saying they had unexplained allergies or “summer colds”. 🙄 Unless you can definitively rule out covid with multiple tests, assume you’re contagious and act accordingly.
i don’t mean to be annoying but i want everyone in the world to know that if you just did a ton of stuff and now you have a fever and coldlike symptoms it probably is covid and furthermore YOU NEED TO TEST MULTIPLE TIMES NOT JUST DAY ONE. IT CAN TAKE DAYS TO SHOW A POSITIVE ON A RAPID TEST NOW

it's two things, to me:
1) trans rights matter because trans people matter and deserve rights, not just because failing to stand for trans rights is a bellwether for inauthentic progressivism more broadly

Disabled folks living their lives and showing that they & other disabled folks deserve cute, fulfilling, wonderful things that bring joy are being painted in this light because to view them as actual people goes against the authority's narrative that they are undeserving.
Without wanting to sound like a conspiracy theorist. It definitely seems like disabled, ADHD, Autistic people are being fitted up so they can be blamed for society's ills. Being disabled isn't "trendy" but journalists attacking disabled people definitely seems to be a new trend. 1/2
