I mentioned it here but one of the cool and weird things about moth orchids (the type you see for sale at grocery stores etc) is that in the wild they don't grow upright in dirt at all, but attached to trees like this

I finally trimmed the long stem on my oldest orchid. I was really scared to do it because I was afraid I'd hurt the orchid, but it ended up being pretty easy to trim off only the dead portion of the stem. What a relief. I just made sure to trim below where any roots were emerging.

There’s been multiple versions of the Rosh Hashanah griffin, this is the first artwork from 2019, which was also sold at SPX 2022, and has a long history of online popularity. Griffins were an important symbol to medieval Ashkenazim and I’m singlehandedly bringing them back. Chag sameach!
