Toad looks worried and tired, saying “…I don’t know how much longer I can keep this up…I’ve been running for hours…if only there was some way for me to get a ride out of this forest.” In the background we see a car driving up on a road next to the forest The car speeds by, toad chases and says “hey! Wait up! Come back!!” The car is being driven by a critter wearing a racing helmet, he says “that little guy looks like he’s in trouble.” To himself Toad is panting and out of breath, he finally caught up to the car. He says “oh! Thank…you…sorry…out of…breath…chased by snake…can’t run…anymore…” the critter responds with “hey buddy calm down! Sounds like a rough day, can I give you a lift?” Toad looks defeated and walks away while saying “aw man…I needed a ride, thanks anyways. Lifting me up won’t do me any good…” the critter responds with “huh?” A puzzled look on his face

it's amazing how art can help you time travel. this is such a great encapsulation of the wacky angst that underlies scott pilgrim vs. the world; i look at this and i'm instantly back in 2010, in a movie theater muching on popcorn with my best friend.

I recently started playing Mother / Earthbound Beginnings and I stumbled upon this beautiful advertisement that ran in promotion of the game back in 1989.

"Don't cry until the ending."

That mountain reminds me of close encounters of the third kind!

In World 8-7 of New Super Mario Bros. Wii, releasing a mushroom on the third Spine Coaster but not collecting it results in an entertaining interaction whereby the Spine Coaster will balance the mushroom on its nose, like a seal trained to balance a ball.

Toad sits worried, hiding in the forest, and says “man! This snake has been chasing me for hours! If only I knew how to lose it for good!” In the foreground there is a random book on the ground. Toad opens a book titled How To Lose A Snake For Good and says “huh? What’s this?” The page of the book says “to lose a snake for good: place the snake inside a dryer - if lucky, you will lose the reptile along with your favorite pair of socks” with a smiley face underneath Toad begins freaking out, looking left to right frantically. He exclaims “now just where is a toad supposed to find an appliance store in the middle of a forest?!?!1!”
