Very frustrating to see the scaremongering going on by the press. The won’t call obvious lies “lies” but they will readily repeat Silicon Valley’s disingenuous anthropomorphisation in headlines without even putting it in quotes. Shameful.

AI being an existential threat is PR hype or goobers high on their supply. Until the AI has a way to ensure it continues to get power, is able to produce new chips to replace ones the burn out (usually in a year or two), and able to

Once again, there's a reason they won't spell out how we'd go extinct. Are we getting Jurassic Park'd because the AI is reinventing dinosaurs? Are they getting access to the nuclear codes and hypnotizing the president into using them? They are referring to bank/infrastructure hacks and exaggerating.
This, from an Anthropic employee, either reflects a lack of imagination or is evidence that this is all just lies.
If you were really that scared, you'd pull the plug on all the servers and wipe everything from ARIN, APNIC, LACNIC, AFRINIC, and RIPE NCC. No more internet; problem solved.

I know everyone on LinkedIn wants to look busy and successful, but I dare say you aren’t fooling anyone with AI written posts. 70% or more of my feed is clearly AI written, all with the same “voice”. It’s all just clutter. I promise you, a meaningful, you-written post will be much more effective.
