During the pandemic one of my kids got a pair of socks with Fauci’s face on them. A couple of years ago they put them in a goodwill box, but I fished them out thinking it was kind of a historic artifact. I’m glad I did, because now I wear them under my boots as an invisible protest, all the time.

I was fortunate to be able to see Little Steven discuss the making of Sun City at the Springsteen Center for American Music last night. It was a hopeful experience, even though when someone in the audience asked him for hope he was (like many of us) seeming to struggle to offer any.

The world has bigger problems. Heck, I have bigger problems. But trying to find an affordable fair trade 5 foot round rug in a particular shade of burgundy is still a bit of a chore. Presumably, it’s easier than it’s ever been, but it’s still near impossible.

Right-wing Springsteen fans are so tiresome. They are stupid … but that’s not even the worst of it. It’s the ridiculousness of “I want to hate him but I also still want to be known as a fan.” Why? Like, look, you are free to step off the train at any point. The rest of us could use some elbow room.

Why do so many men hate Taylor Swift? It's one thing if u don't like her music b/c that's fine. To each his own. I don't like all her songs. But I have received more hate PMs from men since I posted about her than I have ever received b4 on any subject. These dudes hate her w/a passion. It's sick.

This is what real leadership. They came to him wanting to make a museum about him and he said let’s do a museum about American music and if we do it correctly my part will get smaller with time, until I’m one glass case. I love this man.
