Transplanting a thread I started over on the other site.

1/ Gender Reveals are one of the dumbest things to be spawned by social media. Now they’ve gone from being merely dumb, to being dumb, dangerous, destructive and deadly. This is the definitive list of Gender Reveals gone wrong.
I was looking to see if there were any celebrities who hit the trifecta of endorsing sports betting, crypto, and investing in a Pickleball franchise.

So, I was wrong. It's 20 777-9's and 8 777-8F's for Korean Air. The Unidentified Airlines fleet is shrinking.
Everyone's favorite airline, Unidentified Airlines, has placed an order for 28 Boeing 777X airplanes. Who do we think is behind it? I'm guessing that 18 of the 28 are option exercises for British Airways and the other 10 are new order from a cargo airline. aviationweek.com/awin-knowled...

My maternal grandparents emigrated from South Africa in 1975 and shortly before they left, they had a going away party which my paternal grandparents attended. My paternal grandfather died that night in his sleep, after suffering a massive stroke.

Prediction: Blackstone, KKR and Apollo will eventually try to merge Atlantic with Signature Aviation to create and FBO behemoth, and magically antitrust law will arise from the dead. The owners and users of private planes will sceam about prices and they have the juice to make the government notice.

Contrary to what @airlineflyer.net said to @petchmo.bsky.social, the A318 is not simply a shrink of the A319. The A318 has a different, larger vertical stabilizer that makes it 2.5ft taller than all the other members of the A320 family.

I've taken 3 flights on 767-400ER's this year, and every single time, United has given me the exact same airframe. On one hand, flying United's 767 fleet is my own personal Pokemon game, so the lack of variety is a little disappointing. On the other hand, at some point isn't that *MY* plane?

Taken while waiting to takeoff from Newark. I had been delayed 3 hours after a certain someone decided he had to leave the World Cup final on his shiny 4 engined flying emolument. Not bad for an iPhone camera.

If I ever express any optimism that the US will be anything other than laughingly awful at soccer, please punch me in the face, and remind me that our greatest generation were beaten 4-1 on home soil by a second string geriatric Belgium. And then punch me in the face again.

FIFA could have easily rescinded the red card as “improvidently granted”, but instead they gave Flo a “suspended sentence” and now you have the FIFA equivalent of a last-second Mandamus for an CVRA violation. (Previously confused FVRA & CVRA) bsky.app/profile/trav...
Watching a bunch lawyers attempt to understand the FIFA Disciplinary Committee’s actions through the lens of appellate litigation is a pretty amusing away to spend a Sunday afternoon. TL;DR the rules were made this way so as to provide ultimate “flexibility” but still be rules. #lawsky
