Gathering Shadows is happening in Wellington tonight and tomorrow at Vahalla. I'm spinning some cold, dark, minimal wave tomorrow (Saturday) night. Early set and between acts. The closet goth in me is very happy!

One of my favourite views of Wellington's skyline, snapped from a good friend's balcony. One of the last photos taken in this fair city in 2025. Here's to a new year! All the best to you and yours!

I took some photos this year. Here are a few of my faves from 2025 (best viewed on a proper screen, though a phone will do!) flic.kr/s/aHBqjCjJNA

Looking forward to this year's edition of IASPM Australia New Zealand, Musical Translations & Musical Transformations, which we're hosting here in Wellington.

Author's copies of the Boodle book arrived today. This brings me joy. I read it last night. Found a typo. But I'm proud of this and it means a lot to me to have this out in the world, a book about one of New Zealand's best and my favourite NZ band and their landmark Boodle EP.

Playing some vinyls at Rogue & Vagabond tonight (Friday) 6:30-9:30 NZT. A sauntering warm-up set for your soirée, an arousing amuse-bouche for your dinner plans or just an excuse to hear some weird and wonderful sounds.

Happy 85th birthday Wendy Carlos, who revolutionised the synth with Bob Moog, made electronic music before Eno & Kraftwerk, & composed scores for Tron, Clockwork Orange and The Shining. A trans icon, Carlos gave few interviews but this BBC one features her beloved cat www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z3ca...
