i've also been doing a voiced playthrough of 999 with some friends in a Discord server (you know who you are. smiles). it'd most likely end up on there regardless but that definitely made it fresh in my mind
- i feel like 999 is when i really started to see just how great video games can be as a storytelling medium. and that's from starting with the version i'd consider inferior nowadays!

I'm noticing a pattern with slop ai ports, got a doom genesis port youtube recommendation, the first thing I see is a badly rendered sega logo with weird cacodemon movement for an animation and the first thing that pops up after is the developers x and github links. (1/2)
