Do you love comics AND laughing with your friends? Next Saturday, I am doing a reading with L.J. Baptiste and Sadie Saunders. I'm ecstatic to present "Come Undone", a trans comedy of errors about recovering from bottom surgery and getting high for the first time. Hope to see you in the audience <3

Max Miller, it seems, is neither a parent nor a human being...

NEW: Regarding the claims that Rep. Max Miller withheld his toddler's "blue bunny," I have some new screenshots suggesting there was a pattern of Miller not giving the bunny back. There were pleas from multiple people on multiple dates. (Thread: 1/8)

This.

I strongly believe a lot of men have no idea how often women contend with this, and how it can stunt their ambitions.

Yes every woman has been harassed, many assaulted. But every woman has also experienced invisible loss from moments she avoided harassment. She felt a space becoming unsafe, so she left, while men stayed on. And in leaving, she lost: opportunities, experiences, learning, promotions, even simply fun.

Looking for tips for managing autistic burnout, asking for a friend (no, seriously! I'm having trouble articulating to them how I manage my own.) This is for a fellow creative and comic artist, so please feel free to share your experiences ❤️

Been chatting with a friend this morning about how media consumption is overwhelming by design. This, coupled with the meaningless of choices, is a particularly cruel trap sprung on the neurodivergent. #choice paralysis

The "when we pay you for it, it isn't art anymore" argument is an attempt to strip art of cultural and visual power. It's bullshit and cowardice.

See "Man at the Crossroads" by Diego Rivera and "The Cradle Will Rock" by Marc Blitzstein for a blow by blow of this exact conflict.

Fresh coat of paint on my pinned post. I'm good for September and I think I'm okay for October, but really it's getting dicey as I've been waiting ages for a freelance gig to tell me if they accepted my manuscript or not and pay up or not.

Also the reply has more options to help me out.

On Christmas Day 2025, I fell in my kitchen baking cookies for Santa and broke my back, leaving me paralyzed.

I'm currently in a long-term care facility with my benefits severely cut and could use financial help with bills and groceries.

You can donate to my GoFundMe or see links in the reply.

Doug Leone needs a psych evaluation and should have his capacity to make decisions for literally anyone other than himself taken away.😐
motorcityadam.com Adam Cook @motorcityadam.com · Sep 1
Why not just leave the diseased tooth untreated indefinitely?

Now that’s how you 10x the badassery.

First Principles.
"Sequoia partner Doug Leone reveals he got a root canal with no Novocaine to see if he was really a badass" "I had to get a root canal. And I had to go to a meeting right after that. I told the dentist, drill without any Novocaine." "My whole life, I wanted to see if I was a badass or not. Am I a fake badass that has this envelope nobody could tell, or am I really a badass on the inside?" "He drilled and I jumped. And I told the dentist, I won't move again. And I didn't move again. I used the trick of thinking what it must be like to go to war and lose an arm or two legs. That's pain with consequences. Mine was pain with no consequences." "It's just nerve endings from there to my brain to my spine, f*ck it I'm not moving." "I had to go home and change my shirt because I was a puddle of sweat. But I didn't move. And so I love fear. It does wonders for me."
