Happy Eid Mubarak to all who are celebrating this festive event! 🎉

Thanks to USRA summer intern, Arham Aziz for pulling this post together!

#Eid #festive #family #friends #community #joy #reflection

Better late than never: Congratulations to orthopedic resident, Jonathan Lin who did a wonderful job presenting his poster on his systematic review results of #ACDF in the #cervical #spine at the Schulich #Resident #Research #Day! Well done, Jon :)! Well done, Jon!

Thank you #ICCB2025 for hosting us in #RomeItaly. Our study benchmarked state of the art CNNs commonly used in clinical #ultrasound imaging for orthopedic fracture care; we report high variability among professions regarded as #experts & low inter-annotator reliability for bone fracture features!

A very productive first day including a lab tour, one-on-one project meetings and lunch together with our new students! #FridayProgress!!

#Postdoc fellowship opportunity @westernu.bsky.social: uwo.ca/research/fun.... Email me if you are interested!

IT have confirmed a mass outage affecting our lab this morning... I guess we'll just have to take the morning easy and enjoy a nice cup of coffee + good weather that's come upon Canada the last week!

JOB ALERT: Talented and motivated PhD students (International, Canadian citizen or Permanent Residents) and Master’s students (Canadian citizen or Permanent Residents only). Project: Computational FEA modelling of the spine/foot biomechanics, fully funded PhD/MSc

It's Dr. Singh's #birthday today!

Dr. Supriya Singh is a #clinical collaborator at WEST Lab with research interest in #pediatric and #adult #spinal #deformity and #degenerative #spinal #disease particularly #cervical #myelopathy.

Happy happy birthday Dr. Singh🎉🎂, you're the best!!

Thank you #ORS2025 for hosting an incredible conference. I am grateful to all my new friends, colleagues & walk away with a mind filled with insights, so many incredible research Qs & a new found view of my role. Here are 10 key take-aways I wanted to share: (3xScience, 3xECR, 3xThoughts, 1xFun)

Come and join our team of passionate #researchers based at Victoria Hospital working directly with #orthopaedic #trauma and #spine #surgeons!

Despite poor weather conditions & flight delays in #Canada, #WESTLab is en route to #Phoenix to present: #Automated #Segmentation Of Long #Bones In #Ultrasound Images: Comparing #Segmentation #Performance of 4 state-of-the-art Clinically Used Pretrained #CNNs at the @orssociety.bsky.social meeting!

#WESTLab is very lucky to work directly with Dr. Emil Schemitsch. A strong leader, mentor and experienced researcher, he's already helped guide our engineering research questions. Here's a post from a few years ago about his research expertise:

#WESTLab have been busy talking with #westernengineering students about new & exciting #clinically relevant #orthoresearch, & handing out red pockets at #VictoriaHospital #LondonON!

Happy Friday and, happy Chinese New Year #cny from us! To a year filled with prosperity & productivity for all.

Loving the #positive sticky notes left all around @westernu.bsky.social engineering department! These are the ones I've spotted so far @westernuresearch.bsky.social

For Western students, please take a look at the Western #wellbeing support information:
