Congratulations to all of the contributors of this wonderful new edition. Packed full of new research and understanding of Ireland in the 1920s and 1930s.
Much fun 🥳 was had at the Pav (beautifully restored 1920s venue in Cork) last night to launch the #FlappersJazzAgeIreland book. Great speech by the one & only @clodaghfinn.bsky.social highlighting the importance of joy as a feeling in historical work #historyemotions. @whaireland.bsky.social
Writing in the Irish Examiner, Clodagh Finn describes Flappers and the Jazz Age as "eye-opening" and praises its "narrative-changing picture" of Ireland in the 1920s and 30s, bringing overlooked stories of women's leisure, work and creativity back into focus.
