This is extraordinary. Jack Smith is so careful about every single detail because if he makes the slightest mistake they're try to put him in prison. Then the exact moment when he thinks he's caught Jack Smith. The smug smile. Then the sheer incompetence 😂 youtu.be/V6aYumK9Xic?...

You often hear the farming lobby talk of how the UK needs to be more self sufficient. If they were serious, would moving away from quite so much dairy and sheep be a good first step! 🤔
The vegan land conservation argument—that animal agriculture is an inefficient use of fertile cropland—is literally over two thousand years old (and arguably more true now than it was then!).

🚨Andy Burnham says "every option" is on the table for the UK-EU relationship.

The country's made it clear what option he should take.

Our polling with YouGov shows more than 99% of GB constituencies want EU membership.

Now we need your help to get us all the way there. 👇

Humanists UK mourns Dame Esther Rantzen (1940–2026)

Esther was a great champion of human dignity. She approached her final years with the same fearless determination that defined her career of advocacy, using her own experience to shine a light on the suffering caused by our outdated laws.

“The question is not whether we can afford to remain within the Convention [ECHR].
It is whether, in an increasingly dangerous world, we can afford not to”

Political liars and lightweights, like Badenoch and Farage, must never be allowed to take that risk.

What Newsnight should have taken away was that it shouldn't adopt tabloid narratives unquestioningly and made the appropriate correction.

What it did instead was to report the correction as if it were gossip and go "OOOOOH! THEY'RE VERY SENSITIVE!"

What? To accuracy? You used to be, too, BBC.

Funny. When Cameron introduced the triple lock I remember everyone on the left understanding very clearly why it was a cynical bribe to Tory voters and would not amount to a hill of beans if public services like social care were cut to the bone.

Some of the same comrades are now big fans. 🧐

I walked in and there was this old racist guy spouting off on the news and I wondered why they were platforming him and it turned out he was a billionaire and that was why. A billionaire that backed Brexit and then fucked off abroad, while the rest of us suffer the consequences.

Having 'legitimate concerns' is the new 'I'm not racist, but ...'
I would love to ask a prominent BBC journalist to give me an example of an illegitimate concern. Is seems to me that it has become a question not of fact, logic, or ethics but of volume. If a big enough proportion of a village was anxious about Bigfoot or Chemtrails, BBC would cover it in a way...

Remember when Obama said the UK might struggle to get a trade deal with the US and all the Brexiters lost their collective minds at foreign interference in our elections.

Those same voices seem more than happy to pocket vast sums of money from all sorts of foreign sources.
