The President of the United States, in front of a crowd of his supporters, during a televised rally, admits to a Quid Pro Quo pardon, which is a felony and impeachable offence.

And absolutely nothing will happen, because his party, which controls congress, are fascist collaborators and sycophants.
moments after saying he didn't expect anything in exchange for pardoning Cueller, Trump admits "I guess I expected maybe he wouldn't run or maybe he'd run as a Republican"

IMO this is exactly why other countries are writing off America beyond Trump. America is full of the dumbest, most racist, and vitriolic people imaginable. The two elections of Trump are a byproduct of this countries failures, not the cause.
"He's gonna fix it. Believe in him ... all the abortion, it's evil ... I want to see 2 people -- Trump & Jesus...we do not want Muslims taking over...I have horrible thoughts. I don't think they should be here. This isn't their country...they need to pack up & go back where they came from."

"Democrats don't have any income" is an insane statement, but it's also an admission that he sees the money collected by the United States government as his personal piggy bank, to be raided as he sees fit.
Trump: "Because of tariffs, we are taking in hundreds of billions of dollars of profits. It's one of the reasons I can offer, if Republicans win the House and Senate, $5,000 to every adult. We can do it and the Democrats can't, because the Democrats don't have any income."

There's no real point in arguing with his mouth noises, particularly not when preaching to the Bluesky choir, but this is *noteworthy* nonsense. If the revenue were real (it's not), then it would be revenue *of the United States government,* equally available to a Democratic Congress to spend.

Sure, the 2024 election was one too, but 2026 might be the clearest intelligence test ever presented to the American electorate. Taken at face value, he's saying he stole hundreds of billions from the gov't, hid it somewhere Congress can't reach, and he pinky swears he will give you a piece. Really.

When they get back in power, Democrats need to go all-in on higher education.

We need a campaign of reinvestment in public universities across the country that makes the Morrill Land-Grant Act look like nothing by comparison *and* a GI Bill of Rights-style program of tuition grants.
Trump is banning students majoring in degrees that don’t make enough money from taking out college loans. Degrees for social work, art, religious studies, teaching aides, and music will be hit the hardest. trib.al/kQdKbY1

The fact that this was *previously used as a campaign ad during the presidential campaign* removes any real defense as to its purpose. Its not a public service announcement. Its a campaign ad that has become state propaganda.
What an odd moment in United States history.

A U.S. president is running an overtly political camaign advertisement, right before midterm elections, paid for by the U.S. government.

Trump appears to believe he is immune from any kind of legal limit.

A MORATORIUM ON DATA CENTERS SHOULDN’T EVEN BE IN QUESTION AT THIS POINT

And we definitely need more reporting on this issue: HEAT

Data centers devour electricity and water, dump heat into communities, and Big Tech is building them faster than lawmakers are dealing with the consequences.

I’m sorry, what? This piece was not a joint publication/ reporting job (as some are). It was @propublica’s alone and the Times followed with a summary. This is so indicative of NYT. If they don’t ignore proper credit, they just go for stolen valor.

Trump has now refunded $128 billion dollars from his tariffs to corporations.

Tariffs he created, made Americans pay for, and then returned right back to his donors.

We paid, and his friends cashed in.
