I can’t speak for gay people as a whole obviously, but as somebody who has been one for decades, and knows hundreds, I can’t think of any of us who would do anything but cheer for this ad.

I read it as the Iran war was the main part of the ad! With the closeted hypocrite part being the initial hook.

I agree this could be viewed as a cheap shot, or worse, but in my view it’s part and parcel of what makes Graham a uniquely vile villain. Not his gayness, his hypocrisy.

Just found it! I don’t know, as a gay man myself, there is nothing more angering than the hypocrisy of “secretly gay” folks like Graham who have spent their life taking away my rights.
