Striking, and appropriate, that this piece comes from a professor from a business school.

The business world relies on public research and universities for its talent pipeline. Cutting off international students with an unachievable degree deadline cuts that pipeline.

The US President's new proposal to tax international students has been approved by the White House for release this week.

It's an unprecedented $100,000 tax on int'l grads who stay to work after graduation on Optional Practical Training (most grads do), a crucial bridge to remaining by any channel.

🌏🌲Do trees produce more #wood as a result of #globalwarming? Not necessarily, according to a new study led by the WSL and published in @science.org. Annual wood production depends more on growth rate than on duration of growth – with implications for carbon storage. www.wsl.ch/en/news/more...
More time for trees to grow doesn’t always mean more wood
Although climate warming extends growing season for trees, the rate of growth is the main driving factor when it comes to wood formation.

Well this is going to screw over large swaths of the western US. River's like the Salt and Verde don't necessarily make the cut under these rules.
The EPA announced an updated WOTUS rule proposal.

“This is a humongous rollback and it’s a bigger rollback than their initial proposal,” said NRDC's Jon Devine.
