Did you know that data centers can heat their neighborhoods by up to 2.2°C? This study shows how the cooling systems of these facilities may be adding to Phoenix's already intense heat. What does this mean for residents living nearby? 🌡️

Donald Trump also withdrew the US from the World Health Organization in January and has slashed funding for the CDC, America's leading public health agency.

The world’s largest sand battery got through Finland’s harshest winter in years. 2,000 tonnes of sand, heated to 500-600°C by cheap power, feeding district heating in Pornainen.

And it worked.

Result from one install: oil down 100%, emissions down 70%.

Industrial process heat is the real prize.

China switched on the world’s largest open-sea offshore solar farm in late 2025.

2.3M panels.
2,934 steel platforms.
Built offshore to survive force-11 gales & sea ice.
Powers ~2.67M people.

And yes… they’re farming fish underneath it too.

Solar above. Food below. Fossils below both.

I do know people opposed to both, but I'm curious on who's trying to divide us this time.
