Day 1 of the ARA conference is complete! There were some fascinating discussions on archives and authenticity, including how we think about records, how we process them, and how we reach people through selection, appraisal, cataloguing and outreach.

We'd like to share something we're pretty proud about!
Our education team have been very busy with both schools and home education groups this January, we have ALREADY had nearly 500 children at the Field Studies Centre and in the House mainly learning this term about Antarctica. 🐧

1. Select themes for your sessions. Themes allow you to centre the sessions around specific ideas that are broad enough where anyone could have a story about (e.g. childhood). What’s more, staff and facilitators can contribute their own stories, making the session truly for everyone.
We had a very successful session yesterday with Tom McGrath and Carmen Álvaro González, with over 15 of you joining us to learn more about reminiscence workshops using archival materials.
