#MovieHistory On this day, 1993, Dazed and Confused, directed by Richard Linklater, was released. Knowing that music was absolutely vital to the film, Richard Linklater spent 1/6th of the film’s budget on securing music rights. Ironically Robert Plant would not sign off on using Led Zeppelin music.
