HG Strike Freedom Gundam Spec II
Holy shit it's SO cool. The Wings of the Sky effect parts are incredibly good looking. I think I did a really good job. I just couldn't stop looking at it.

Next build was HG Aerial Gundam! Liked this one a lot except for two stickers in the thighs. Gonna pose all the shield bits once I get another weapon display base to have them all out.

Something else I've been meaning to do. All the main Zeon mobile suits from the original Gundam, in the order they appear - the Zaku 2, Gouf, Dom/Rick Dom, and Gelgoog. Honestly, even though the latter two are older kits they're actually pretty good still.

Bonus pics, one with the double beam saber, and one comparing it side by side with the Rising Freedom Gundam.

"A Gundam?"
"Not quite. This is the ZGMF-X10A Freedom. But... I like 'Gundam' better. It sounds stronger."
I need to do some more touch-ups to this still, like panel lining the rifle and shield and some color correction, but it's my day off and I wanted to pose this!

So about that being in line with something Tomino would actually say.

It's from 2001! But checking that let me find out it isn't the oldest I've made, the HG Guntank is a year older. But also it holds up a lot better because there's not much room to make it more poseable. Just look at it.
Short of moveable treads there isnt much room for improvement.

Next build was the good old (and I do mean OLD) HG GM. I think this might be the oldest kit I've ever built. It's a really simple design so its age doesn't show too much if you don't try and do complicated pose with the upper body. Wouldn't mind a Revive kit of it though.

My question about which versions you have stands.
In any event I got an HG Freedom for my birthday because I've accepted I'm collecting all of Kira's suits.

This one was a long time coming. With this Gundam Heavyarms, I now have all the MGs that actually showed up in Endless Waltz. Why this is P-Bandai and not the Glory of the Losers version is beyond me. This kit rules, and I'm so happy to have the full set. I can pose it better though.

She's not butch but the mighty Edelgard has a crown and a cape and a giant axe and she's also actually kind of short. That last one isn't really relevant to what you're talking about but I like it.
