I understand why so many Americans are angry at Trump. But the real question is why so many Americans voted for him. Once Trump is gone, his voters will still be there. His SCOTUS will still be there. Trump is a symptom of a deeply fucked up society. Things aren't just OK when he is gone.

Unless the UK implements some solid Keyesianism, it it fucked. Starmer, Burnham and Streeting are all beholden to evidence free neoliberal dogma.

Streeting is basically Starmer 2.0. People are fed up with Starmer's neoliberal continuity policies. Streeting will be Starmerism with a different face. If the PLP chooses Streeting, it might as well have stuck with Starmer. It's suicide for the Labour Party.

Today I was so angry with the SDP and their betrayal over far-right neoliberal dogma, that I signed up to join @vasemmisto.bsky.social. Join today to save the Finnish welfare state!

It's almost as if @teamlabouruk.bsky.social *want* to lose the Senedd election. Refusing to devolved policing, then telling Wales to shut up when it rightly complains about unfairness in infrastructure spending. I think Starmer and his team actively hate Wales.

When you're on the same side as Meloni and Orban, you're a fascist. Starmer seems to love a fascist. Trump, Orban, Meloni.
Starmer is the most dangerous UK PM since 1945.

Proportional representation, rebuilding public services, tackling inequality – these are the real defences against Reform.

Starmer didn’t mention them, writes Prof Richard Murphy.
