We did it. Family party is accomplished. Tomorrow this kiddo will wake up and be eleventeen and I’m having a lot of feelings about that.

Lighting the candles on my children’s birthday cakes with this because I’m a very good parent 😂 But I got it at the Inaugural CannaCon in like 2012 or something and it’s the only lighter I own that works!
A green lighter for THC Law Firm. Pretty sure they no longer exist. One of a number of businesses that popped up after Washington legalized weed. I sold weed insurance. There was a booth next to us of guys who all had phds in chemistry using it to make flavored weed. What a time to be alive.

We had a wasp nest in the tree in our front yard this summer (the kids called it a bee hive, so that’s what we’ve been calling it) and since the wasps were, uh, taken care of, we’ve been waiting for the hive to fall out of the tree. I guess it’s rained enough lately, because it’s starting to fall!

Last night my husband was going through one of the many boxes of cards that haven’t been gone though yet. This one was labeled “Oddballs” and had a bunch of Burger King and Franz and Mother’s Cookies cards, which you know I love. And then in the midst of all that, THIS! 😱

Still figuring out how to organize the books on all this spacious new shelving, but I did figure out how to fit the Britneys in there, so I think they’re gonna hang out by the books and jump scare me every time I see them. As you can tell from these smiles, Britney loves literacy!
