I think it was @pbump.com who pointed this out, but an absurd amount of adults believe their kid has a chance at pro sports. When you put that incentive there, it really adds a whole layer to the trans sports panic.
Outside the obvious timebomb of selling out trans kids to appeal to ~16 bigots in deep Ohio, an underplayed part of the whole "trans kids in youth sports" stuff is making the most psycho Little League parents the most important political demo in America. They're joy vampires for the kids themselves!

Congress passed the Corporate Transparency Act. Trump vetoed it. Congress overrode his veto on a bipartisan vote. So Trump has decided to simply not enforce the law.

Like everyone always, I see this as more evidence for the thing I already believed, which is that voting is mostly based on vibes so politicians should focus on (1) being likable and then (2) pursuing the policies they actually believe in

If I could waive a magic wand and fix one of the ills of society I would give every parent the abilities and resources to read to each child once a day. I still read aloud to my 11 year old, one of the best parts of our day.
