Oh, and local communities are left figuring out how to fund police, fire, parks, etc — they aren’t given any money for that.

This will just be yet another windfall to companies and stockholders because regular consumers won’t be able to recover the tariff costs that they paid over the past year when buying products at retail.

Hmm. The US is giving $10 billion in taxpayer dollars, not appropriated by Congress, to a fake board set up by the President and which he put himself in charge of *for life*... seems very, very illegal.

If the Fed impounds any money allocated to it, I think California should absolutely do this.
I’m thinking about federal income tax.
If the federal government isn’t meeting its obligations why should we?
Specifically, I’d love to see states get the money first and hold it in trust pending litigation. I want to pay my taxes but not to a government that doesn’t respect the constitution.
