fuck, i love indie games so much

i would love to just go to a cafe with my laptop and set up and play indie games

and it's not weird cuz everyone else there is doing that too

and there are some developers developing their games there and sometimes they stand up and ask for playtesters. and, um

Every day I strive for a future where everyone on Earth can write angry letters to Sam Altman on their own, for personal use only, 1 TiB kit of RAM.
Might sit down and write a letter to Sam Altman in Notepad on my barely used PC with 256GB RAM.

@bsky.app Seventeen months TO THE DAY and this is still a problem! Now that all the trending feeds are AI generated the slop fountain has only gotten worse!!
@bsky.app The first thing I do every time I log in is disable Trending posts in my feed & enable dark theme. Can we please have these be part of account settings rather keeping them solely in localStorage? This is a nit-pick but it's made all the more annoying by other settings persisting correctly.

This guy has the funniest instincts I’ve ever seen in an executive. A genuine gift for saying weird and off putting shit like “I can’t imagine raising a kid without ChatGPT” or “it takes a lot of energy to raise a child too” or “it’s more important data centers get RAM.” A real talent
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman says having RAM in personal computers is a ‘terrible’ use of limited resources and that it would be better utilized in data centers

"From a global perspective it’s quite terrible to have everyone have a bunch of the world’s limited supply of DRAM sitting in their computer"

The deeply sad thing about AI chucklenuts openly masturbating about how great it is not to need other people for anything is that the slow process of creative collaboration fucking RULES.

What sucks is when commercial concerns force you to rush and optimize and cut corners off that process.

Just got presented with this link while digging up ancient Forth documents on the Wayback Machine:

wayback-labs.sf.archive.org

Collation of archived information is just as important as the maintenance of an archive itself. Yet vibe-coding these feels like it's trivialising the discipline...

Here’s what it’s like to simply exist as Jewish in public. Imagine having the fucking balls to just shout this out in a crowded theater. In what fucking universe does this help Palestine??? This woman doesn’t actually give a fuck about Palestinians.

He handled this so much better then I would have

today is your reminder that the 'Guennol Lioness', a proto-Elamite statuette, confirms evidence that humans have been hot for massive furry women since at least 5000ish BCE, contemporary with our invention of the wheel and the first cohesive writing systems

when we said “bring back shame” this is exactly what we meant

none of these assholes should be allowed to buy coffee in peace
Watching ICE agents literally run away from a Mount Laurel Starbucks without their coffee because the neighborhood completely rejected them is pure gold. South Jersey will make you unwelcome every single time you show your faces.
