ill say it here again, the thing about Quinns is the man is an A+ reviewer. He has particular taste - a reviewer should have taste! It's the whole point of a review! The problem is he's the one guy in town operating at that production level. It's like if the whole of movie reviews was just Ebert lol

I’ve been thinking about more and more about Quinn’s condemnation of ‘power fantasy’ fantasy gaming as 'artistically hollow', again - and also a lot about Stephen R Donaldson’s essay 'Epic Fantasy in the Modern World' in which he discusses what fantasy actually has to say about the human condition.

I really hate asking for money, but if you want to help me get through this very last stretch of development which coincidentally seems to be when my finances are the worst they've ever been, I would greatly appreciate it.
Any time someone cherry picks a particularly heinous and cruel crime and then uses it to say "And this is why we need to bring back [insert torturous and painful form of execution]" it honestly turns my stomach more than the original crime they're pointing out in many cases.

Incredibly hard list to make. Other than Chrono Trigger at #1 and Halo 2 at #2 the order of these is interchangeable. Also arguably some days some of these are dropped in favor of others. But these were the 9 for today.
