Reminder that you do not have to "hand it" to Rees-Mogg, given his immediate response was "well we'd be speaking german" as opposed to "because all of the jews in the country would have been murdered".
Tucker: “I never understood why 🇬🇧 fought World War 2?” 😕

Rees-Mogg: “It was good vs. evil…We did the right thing…”

Tucker: “Has 🇬🇧 benefitted?”

RM: “We defeated Hitler… We’d all be speaking German…”

Tucker: “Who cares?” 🤔

EVERY UK MP needs to read this

You are all part of a government that is creating a situation so hostile and unsafe that people are leaving the country

This is not an isolated case. You have the power to do something about this.

"In ten years our AI might be powerful enough to wipe out humanity"
Okay but can it do the dishes though? Can you make AI that will actually do mundane boring tasks like dishes or laundry?

If your bots are that smart and powerful then why can't they do anything useful?

The Hero’s Shade from Twilight Princess being Link from Ocarina of Time is one of my favorite bits of Zelda lore. The new Kokiri tunic from the remake is so much fun to draw 💚

100%.
For those unfamiliar, Van Halen had a line in their rider that essentially said “no brown M&Ms.” It was a way to see if the promoter had actually read the contract. They had a shitload of gear to tour with, so if they’re skipping one thing, it’s guaranteed they’re skipping something essential.
An AI flyer is a brown M&M test. If your event or business is cutting corners by using an AI flyer, where else are you cutting corners? What else are you cheating out on? Why should I be bothered to go somewhere you couldn't be bothered to promote with a little of your own personality?

Hot Take: The DS9 character who'd be the most resistant to the One Ring would be Rom.
This was posted above another one of Kira and much as I love those characters, I'm pretty sure that the One Ring would have them both doing its bidding inside of a week! 😅

A reminder for all the people who are still using genAI images to express their opposition to right-wing crap. Please, find another way.

*Donate to the Imagination Library or a local kids reading initiative
*Read with a kid you care about
*Support and protect LGBTQIA kids
*Support a Black owned business
*Schedule your vaccine appointments
*Show up authentically as you

AI RANT

Following the cancellation of three major debut book deals over AI suspicions, I decided to put my own (needless to say, 100% human-written) prose to the test. My detector of choice was Originality AI, and the results proved to be jarring, to say the least.

Good.

Now we need action. Tax fossil fuel giants to pay for firefighting helicopters. A cool space in every community. A maximum working temperature.

And no new oil and gas extraction in the North Sea. We cannot negotiate with the science.

UK weather: Burnham to chair Cobra meeting on extreme heat as temperatures surge again
The Government will meet to discuss this summer's record-breaking heat as the tally for days above 30C in the UK is broken.

More sports should have their own kayfabe versions. It shouldn't just be limited to combat sports/pro wrestling.

I've never used ChatGPT. If I'm absolutely honest, although I've heard of Claude, I'm not 100% sure what it is. I've never knowingly used an #AI tool.
To me, this post reads like 'If pre-sliced cheese was suddenly banned, would you even know how to slice cheese manually?'

Dunno about you folks, but if I was overseeing a country on fire and suffering from drought, and my surname could mockingly be changed to "Burn 'em", I simply would not back drilling for dirty polluting fossil fuels in the North Sea.

Talking to a friend today who'd never interacted with Star Trek media. My husband mentioned I liked shipping characters.
When asked about it further, I just said "so there's this autistic doctor and his fascist lizard boyfriend" and my friend's immediate response was "no wait I have heard of this".

Americans: Just use AC
Brits: Good if you can but not everyone can afford them. Some homes are just incompatible. Landlords are jerks. Our buildings are meant to keep the heat. Public transport rarely has AC, and also breaks in this heat.
Americans: Huh silly Europeans hate AC for some reason.
