Uh, 'interesting' way of presenting this... the only 'authors' I'm aware of using AI are the lazy, unethical, incompetent grifters who don't give a shit about their readers or real writers. People should stop using it, not resent that they have to 'lie about it.' Jesus.

Why write book reviews if you don't have your own opinions on what you've read? Using AI to write a book review's substance in the way this writer did is so embarrassing and intellectually void. Ideally, you wouldn't even look up anything anyone else said about the book. (Or I wouldn't, at least.)

I don't like Amazon recommending books to me based on what I've already read. I don't like them trying to "customise" my reading. I don't like any platform which does that. I like the serendipitous, the surprises, the exciting finds I come accross by looking for myself, be that bookshops or online.
