I’ve been a media witness to two federal executions. One was Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh. The other, a week later, was a drug kingpin named Juan Raul Garza.

My conclusion after watching both men die: The death penalty should not exist. Period. It fixes nothing, and it erodes our souls.

This is delicious. What a buffoon Schmitt is!
🤡 Schmitt beclowns himself 🤡

Schmitt concocted an elaborate conspiracy theory that Smith traveled to Atl for a Hawks game and to collude with Fani Willis, & flashed his "evidence" before accusing Smith of perjury. There's just one problem -- his facts were totally wrong.

Here's the whole sequence:

ICE abducted a WBB player while she was traveling with her Kentucky State team in early August at Louisville airport.

She has been imprisoned for 1.5 months and denied care for a serious ACL injury.

It is the responsibility of universities and the NCAA to protect their players.

They have failed.

NEW POLL: 53% of Americans support expanding the Supreme Court, including majorities of both Democrats and independents.

Two weeks ago, House Dems stood united to keep that option on the table.

I ordered pretty tumbled rocks and a bracelet from Sunny’s Etsy shop (tarotdruid.etsy.com), not only because there’s some cool stuff, but also because she may need help with vet bills. (Orange Boy, though deemed innocent by @darthbluesky.bsky.social, had an unfortunate appetite for his wormy toy.)

A bit of much-needed good news…
Virginia, which once had the highest number of Confederate monuments of all states, removed its last three Confederate monuments from Capitol Square on Friday and no longer publicly displays any Confederate monuments on state property.

It’s mind-blowing that we have literal white nationalists in the White House carrying out unfathomably cruel, abusive, white nationalist policies, and the punditariat has spent the last two weeks debating if some people were too intemperate after a Black man was murdered by cops six years ago.
