Kinda weird that the network owned by the company whose CEO is the son of the chairman of one of the big AI data center providers would go all in on AI as a focus of their reporting. I’m sure they’ll be completely objective in their reporting, right? Right?
New correspondent Ross Douthat says "no story looms larger than the latest developments in artificial intelligence." The technology and its impacts will be a major focus of 60 Minutes reporting.

WWDC is just not hitting the same this year. Maybe it’s the belief that people really do want the contrived demos they showed in the keynote. Or maybe it’s the way that you’re expected to pony up Deity knows how much money for AI tokens to use all the new fancy agentic development tools.

Just spent 2 hours trying to figure out why I keep dropping the chain on my MTB, and came up with exactly nothing. At least I confirmed the chainline is correct.

Tonight the party in this D&D game is getting beaten up by a spider dragon, which is not particularly embarrassing, and by menacing candles, which is very embarrassing. The candles are upsetting and I think some writer at Wizards of the Coast had a very bad experience at Anthropologie.

I rarely think about the cognitive load when I’m out on my bike. But if drivers had to devote that much of their attention to not being injured or killed, while trying to get from point A to point B, how many people would actually choose to drive?
Something I was thinking about this morning on my ride is how hyper aware I am every time I bike: Checking for passing cars, parked cars, road furniture, pedestrians, potholes, road debris, etc.
This is something people should consider when they see victim blaming PSAs about cyclists. But also...
