Here in the UK I have volunteered at an ‘asylum hotel’ for the last 2 years. I have never felt frightened or at risk when I enter. I take extra foods as just short of £10 can’t feed anyone in this country. I take donated clothes & books. I offer health advice and a listening ear.

One of the treasures of European architecture. Russia always bragging about its contribution to European culture but this is the reality. And it’s so pointless because it just won’t work.
This morning scrolling Bluesky, there is nothing at all in my feed about Putin’s barbaric attack on the Ukraine’s holiest site, the UNESCO protected Lavra so I’m posting this here.
