Still iffy on this social media thing…
Accidentally left the room for an hour with Spotify playing the latest O.A.R. single on repeat. There could be worse ways to absolutely wreck an algorithm, I suppose. #ofarevolution #spotify

God, Maroon 5 is such a great band.

A number of celebrity “scandals” have been making the rounds recently, so let me weigh in:

Don’t care.
Cannot be bothered to care.
Celebrities are imperfect people like all of us, I see none of them as saints, and I am deeply uninterested in judging strangers.

In case you missed it last night (and frankly, posting so close to midnight, who wouldn’t), I posted a new #shortstory on my Substack. Check it out below 👇🏻

“Trump’s deliberately trying to start Armageddon, so be AFRAID”

Why. Literally WHY.

Stopping this war is far above my pay grade, just as it’s above yours. Say this DOES end in nuclear war (and I don’t think it will), we’ll all be dead the same. Time has always been a limited thing. Shoot for joy.

Researching scurvy for a book. Nasty stuff. Looks even nastier. At the same time, everything about pirates is suddenly clear.

Who else is excited for the new #Talisman book from @stephenking.bsky.social? October won’t come soon enough.

Just finished the first episode of #WonderMan. I don’t normally say this, but that directing was incredible; the car scene in particular was immaculate. I love how subtly the superhero aspect is woven into an otherwise (meta) examination of the life of a struggling actor. So far, a stellar show.

Go live, Bluesky? No one wants me to do that. I certainly don’t.

Just a reminder that I released my latest #shortstory on #Substack. Go give it a read, especially if you love weird scifi.

It will be hard to work this way, friend, but one does what one must, and no less. (Looking at this photo again, it seems like I’m trying to show off my watch. But it was $20 and the cat is priceless, so I’ll leave it to you to figure out which one I’m showing off).

Hmm. Was convinced I had a video of me reading that last story back in my MFA days. It seems I negelected to ask someone to film it.

Hey hey! New story live on #Substack right now! Go give it a read. Forget the ice and snow for a minute and travel to the end of the universe.

I haven’t posted in a bit, so I suppose updates are in order.

1. I have crossed the 20k word threshold on my #wip

2. I am working right now on a really cool short story. Look out for that on my Substack.

3. I harrassed my cat no fewer than 8,478,729 times.

Snowed in? Looking for something to read during #Snowmageddon? Well, may I suggest my #Substack?

The sequence of real thought followed by flash-in-the-pan hashtags is representative of something, I think.
An appropriate response to art is never to ask “What DOESN’T this provide?” Always, one should focus on what it does provide. To do anything else is a demonstration in dishonesty, bad faith reporting.
