Wally dogs is a term of Scottish origin referring to ornamental ceramic figures.
In Scotland they are known as "Wally dugs".
Traditionally made in pairs and displayed on a mantelpiece.
Many were made in the Staffordshire potteries in Victorian times, however all those pictured here are Bo'ness-made.
