I think the proliferation of TV Tropes did more damage to intelligent discussions of media than pretty much anything else. I find it fun to read through, but it gets so exhausting when people reference it like The Bible of Lazy Writing.

Like many people are not using it to mean literal, actual psychosis, right. It's just "you are like those people who are mentally ill, and that is bad". I don't think psychosis is an insult or something that makes you bad, and while that doesn't apply to *everyone* using the term it's not 0 of them

Hmmm how should I phrase this.. I do not like how the term "AI psychosis" has started to become used. It feels like it's becoming less and less common to use it to discuss the very real problem of companies encouraging people to lose their grip on reality and more using a mental illness as an insult
