That map is a gross (in all senses) oversimplification. California has a bunch of red counties. Some of the fiercest lefties I know live in "red" states, which skew red for a bunch of reasons including massive gerrymandering.
If we indict every state with GOP voters, we're ALL in Dumbfuckistan.

I guess my question is, what's he doing about it? The guy's got enough money to have real power, plus he's a name in the biz, there are definitely things he could do to head this off or blunt the impact.

Call me an extremist but many of our current national ills can be traced back to our failure to fully support Reconstruction. That and not prosecuting Nixon have led to (waves hands) this.
Going forward we gotta deal with the racial thing, and we gotta go hard on rule of law.
