It took over 20 years, but I feel it happened the way it was meant to. This story is different, more mature. I have final edits to do, but this is truly my Phyrric victory. My characters have been a part of my whole adult life.

I shelved my book many times over the years, but the COVID pandemic, and all the pain with it, got me back to where I started…to where I needed to be. I am a storyteller. I always will be.

And I have finally finished the story I wanted to telll.

And as I was busy going to school, building my career, raising a family, and trying to be Superwoman, I lost sight of my goal, my dream—to be a published storyteller and author.

I did publish. But I published everything else other than my novel.

It was this writer’s comments that started my writer’s journey. I simply went back to school to become a better writer, but my love of writing, learning, and creating took me in many different directions.
