I'm currently in the middle of PhD research that is showing unequivocally that this is not even close to a thing. Women are still massively underrepresented in the curriculum and almost every teacher I interviewed raised the manosphere's influence on male students as an explicit blocker.

Of course the press gallery types love the melon thing - they actively seek out stories that require no reading and no understanding of policy. They look stories that amble them to talk about the "look" or how "the politics play out" *and* ones that enable them to take the "high moral ground".
